Hanka Kastelicová
Hanka Kastelicová is the VP and Executive Producer of Documentaries for WBD in Europe. She is responsible for producing HBO’s documentary films and series.
She earned a Master of Arts degree from the Prague Faculty of Film and TV Documentary Department. She continued her professional career in Slovenia, where she worked for over 25 years as a documentary director and producer, with a portfolio of more than 100 documentaries.
She joined HBO in 2012. She co-produced European documentaries that resonated with HBO viewers, achieved recognition at festivals, and garnered nominations and awards from local Film Academies, the European Film Academy, and the Oscars.
As an experienced documentary filmmaker, she participated in master classes and industry seminars.
Hanne Biermann
Hanne started as an apprentice at the renowned German publishing house Suhrkamp and graduated from Bauhaus University Weimar with a degree in media studies. She continued her career towards film, working for the DOK Leipzig festival and in art house cinema. In March 2019 she joined Deckert Distribution as festival manager. Since then she is a regular guest at film festivals and markets around the World, including being an alumni of the Locarno-Thessaloniki Industry Academy and Berlinale Talents. In 2024 Hanne started as Festivals & Marketing Manager at Film Harbour.
Mads Mikkelsen
Mads K. Mikkelsen is Head of Programme at CPH:DOX - Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival. Parallel with the festival, he runs two public cinema clubs, teaches film history at the Danish Film School, and is a frequent contributor to local and international film magazines, as well as the author of a book about non-fiction cinema. At the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, he received an award for his work from Festival de Cannes - Marché du film and Screen International.
