Director’s statement:

CITIZEN SAINT was inspired by observing humans desperate need of hope, and trying to make hope real. In the film I want to erase the boarders of reality and miracle, life and death, past and future. Everything will combine and create one whole flow, following logic of our thoughts, threads and beliefs. This absurd story, similar to fable, will be told with humour to follow its characters humble, simple attitude to life. They are open to accept miracles in their lives to have hope and avoid darkness of reality. Entire town looks like a big factory with labyrinth of rails, cable cars and tunnels. Muddy roads and river water, which is black and leads to the sea, where everything from this town ends up. Sound of horn indicates start of the shift, like alarm heard everywhere, same is the ringing of cable cars when they start moving. Cargo trains and huge tracks move among the sandy hills. It is a lifeless place where everyone wears uniform.
